Interest in the fair stock show drew strong attention in Southern Oregon as nine Jerseys from the valley were exhibited at Marshfield with eight winning ribbons. Thirty Jerseys from the area collected many ribbons, and the event helped seed plans for a permanent Southern Oregon stock show and a forthcoming Coos and Curry county fair in September. Professor Fitts judged dairy cattle, swine, sheep, and hogs, praising quality. Jersey results listed with local exhibitors noted.
