Man Killed in Night Cliff Fall While Carrying Deer
Harry Laird of Brewster, cousin of Joe and P. W. Laird, fell from a cliff near his home while carrying a deer after tracking a wildcat. The 150 foot plunge on dark terrain near the edge ended his life. the cliff is noted for past accidents. Funeral details were not known. Mrs. Adell Herriott, widow of Charles Herriott, died at noon Wednesday in the city after a brief illness from bronchial pneumonia. She was active in the M. E. church and local moral improvement efforts, with funeral set for Friday at 10 in the Methodist church and Norway cemetery burial. She was born February 28, 1863 in Rochester Minnesota and aged 67 years 10 months 5 days. Survived by one brother and two sisters. one brother was killed at Northome, Minnesota the day before her death. Her husband Charles Herriott died three years ago.
