New Train Schedule Changes from Eugene to Marshfield Area

A new schedule effective December 11 changes departures from Eugene to Marshfield and nearby towns. The northbound route runs from Eugene at 7 15 a m connecting with No 58 to Ocean Beach. The return trip arrives in Marshfield at 1 10 p m and continues to Coquille Myrtle Point Powers and back to Eugene by 9 45 a m. Southbound operations add a Marshfield to Powers leg with service ending at Marshfield around 6 00 p m. Minor adjustments possible, with two trains each way daily.

Broadbent News Briefs Amid Winter Freeze and Illness

A winter chill tightens the area as water pipes near freezing Tuesday morning. Dr Clarke treated 42 people at Rogelie residence over Sunday and Tuesday amid influenza concerns. Red Cross Aid and Supplies Reported in France

The American Red Cross aided Allied forces with soldiers in France using corn cob pipes and supplied Paris schools with lunches for 32 thousand children. The organization shipped 700 portable houses and 3,000 tons of condensed milk to the front, along with thousands of pounds of powdered milk.
