Epstein 58 of 6715 Oglesby Ave died December 22 in Tel Aviv aboard a mission to Israel He suffered a heart attack during a Tel Aviv meeting and died next morning Funeral services were held in Israel with Dr Chaim Weizmann officiating He founded Emulsol Corp and led American Palestine Trading Corp Survived by wife Ethel son Solomon daughter Mrs Bernard Sloan and extended family Active Zionist and consulting chemical engineer affiliated with Epstein Reynolds and Harris.

Priest Here Elevated By Pope Pius XII
The Rev. William A. Cousins of St. Columbanus church was named auxiliary bishop of the Chicago archdiocese by Pope Pius XII. He will be consecrated at Holy Name cathedral within two months, remaining pastor of St. Columbanus and serving as an assistant to Cardinal Stritch. Born in Chicago and ordained in 1927, he has held posts including director of the archdiocesan mission band and pastor of St. Columbanus since 1946. Other appointments Tuesday included Msgr William O’Connor to Springfield and Msgr Martin D. McNamara to Joliet, as the pope reorganized regional sees.

Three Southeast Siders Die in Car Train Crash
Three Southeast Side residents died in a Christmas Eve crash when their car collided with a train in East Chicago. Esther Anderson, 40, of 1519 East 67th Street, was injured and treated in a Hammond hospital. The deceased were Fred Eisner, 57, of 1653 East 45th Street. Edgar M. Picard, of 5480 Cornell Avenue. and Mrs. Frances Gramberg, of 720 East 79th Street.
