Feegles, Delos F. obituary from South Haven

Delos F Feegles died at 805 Huron Street at 10 50 a m after a protracted illness mainly cancer with apoplexy and paralysis. Funeral at his home Monday 2 30 p m with Rev L G Kent. Born April 11 1837 in New York state he lived 77 years. He served in the Civil War with the Tenth Wisconsin Infantry including Lookout Mountain. He married Florence Luttenton in 1868 and lived in the same house for 45 years. He was a painter and paper hanger until illness. Survived by wife two daughters Mrs William Sell and Mrs F L Boutwell a son died in infancy. Grandson Laraine Sell nephew Will Feegles and neice Mrs Anna Allen. Knights of Pythias and Pythian Sisters held memorial services decorating graves at Lake View. Rev E W Hughes spoke on tribute and the orders’ role in shaping lives.

Marriage of Miss Elizabeth Godsave to Clyde Hall

Miss Elizabeth Godsave and Clyde Hall of this city wed at the home of Mr and Mrs H S Hoag on LaGrange Street. Rev C S Lester performed the ceremony with Miss Lulu Duke playing the wedding march. The bridal party and guests included family members and the Hall and Hoag households. The couple will reside with the Hoags while Mr Hall works at the Pierce Williams factory. The unrelated court matter regarding Warner and the assault charge against M H Ner was adjourned to June 18 to accommodate the prosecutor.

Moderate north winds bring fair conditions tonight and Tuesday with no storms expected. Temperatures remain mild as skies stay clear to partly cloudy across the area.

Showers Then Fair Predicted for Week

The weather bureau forecasts generally fair conditions for the coming week with unsettled showers in the first day or two from the Missouri valley to the Atlantic coast. City of South Haven Gets Major Boiler Upgrades

The City of South Haven, owned by the Chicago and South Haven Steamship Co., undergoes a $34,000 overhaul at Manistee to install six new boilers and Roturbo pumps. Redpath Chautauqua announces two day music festival and Ben Greet play

The Redpath Chautauqua season opens Monday August 17 with a two day festival devoted to music. Marcus Kellerman will recital with opera background, Cathedral Choir performs, Bohumir Kryl and band play, Denton Grand Opera Company to follow with opera selections. Ben Greet Players to stage plays with minimal staging featuring Percival Vivian and a 13 actor company, bell ensemble opening concert, Kellogg Haines Singing Party in light opera, and a Japanese color guard themed lecture on color and race relations.
