Class Night Commencement Eve at Congregational Church

Solmiers' Reunion Rides Out Rain for Twenty Fifth Year
Mrs Lilla Anderson Mort Dennis and A A Rockwell returned from Oakdale two miles north of Pullman where they furnished music for the Soldiers reunion dance. They played all day Saturday and all night arriving home exhausted. The gatherings have run twenty five years and only twice has rain failed to come.

The marriage of Miss Erma Emerson and Charles Lineberg was solemnized at Lake Bluff near Chicago at five o'clock Saturday afternoon. The newlyweds arrived by boat to South Haven Sunday morning. The bride, a former South Haven resident and granddaughter of Mrs. C. H. Emerson of East Phoenix Street, will reside at Lake Bluff. They were accompanied by relatives from Chicago.

Coat returns to Kalama zoo after two day visit
Xm Coat returned to Kalama zoo this afternoon with his parents Mr and Mrs A Curran after a two day visit. He expected to stay longer but a call from his substitute at the Gazette office informed them that his mother had died and Mr Curran must return to take his place. Mrs Curran and the children remain here. Flag Day was widely observed with Old Glory featured.

Mrs Karst Dies After Weeks of Illness in South Haven
Mrs. Caroline Karst died at home in the city Friday evening at 6 30 after several weeks of illness from a complication of diseases. Funeral services will be held Monday at two at the house and at 2 30 from the German Lutheran Evangelical Church of Peace with Rev Wegner officiating. Pallbearers are F C Knaak Henry Reusch Carl Teske C Hinz Chas Winkel and William Jacobs. Born in Pomaria Germany August 9 1836 she was nearly 79. The family came to America in 1887 and settled in South Haven. She was mother of twelve children, five living: Albert Kriegmas, Mrs Fred Muske, Mrs Carl Hoffman, Mrs Gus Ninke and Mrs Carl Suhr. There are twenty-four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Call at 213 Monroe St Sunday afternoon if you wish to see Mrs Karst.

Dowagiac Michigan on Sunday morning endured a cyclone that damaged buildings trees and crops. A 60 foot water tank at Round Oak Stove works toppled onto a nearby factory roof and crashed through. A south side barn was upended with two horses unharmed. A new cottage near Indian Lake was demolished and the Lybrock farmhouse lost its upper roof totaling 1000 in damage. Trees cottages and summer resort structures suffered as lightning and heavy rain followed the gale.

Waning Chimney Ignites Shingles On Lee Street Home
Sparks from a waning chimney ignited shingles on the roof of the Wm Neibarger residence on Lee Street near East Side grocery. Fire crews arrived about 4 p.m. and extinguished the blaze before major damage. Also notes life events of Mary Ellen Furris born 1843, died 1915 in Kalamazoo after long Michigan residence and a large family.
