Hartford 15 Using Calcium Chloride on Streets
The village of Hartford has applied calcium chloride to main streets and plans to treat resident streets and the fair grounds before the County Fair and fall races. E. L. Keasey of Maple Grove supplied material and a new spreading machine, with an expert from Chicago guiding the application. The spreader will go to South Haven for private drives needing a high grade material and no oil.

Kendrick A Orvis aged about 83 died at noon from apoplexy and paralysis at his daughter Mrs A R Hotchkiss's home on Center Street in this city. Born April 12 1882 in Jefferson County New York he married Matilda Miller on July 5 1854 and had three children D Orvis Wheaton Ill W S Orvis Chicago South Haven and Mrs Hotchkiss. He was a Methdist church member and a Turner National Bible Institute graduate. Burial planned beside Mrs Orvis in Wheaton with services in Wheaton after a Friday afternoon house funeral.
