Graduation Nears at South Haven High and Eighth Grade
Thirty two seniors and forty seven eighth graders are set to graduate in the final week of school. State Normal College President Charles McKenny will deliver the commencement address on Friday. Senior and eighth grade programs, baccalaureate services, and class day events are planned at the Congregational church and high school auditorium.

An exhibition of Domestic Science and Art and free hand drawings at the rest room was inaugurated today and will be continued tomorrow. The Domestic Science class will sell home made candies. The Manual Training department will hold its exhibition Wednesday and Thursday at the same site, displaying mechanical drawing specimens.
Division Two First to Raise $100 Pledge

Prof Aubrey Tealdi of the University of Michigan landscape gardening department suggested placing the shelter house on a ridge edge above the marsh in Oakland Park. The mayor, city council and Civic Improvement League approved, noting the site offers views of the park, city, river and docks. Construction materials are on site and work will proceed, with Tealdi proposing minor design changes. He visited at the League’s invitation, arriving Saturday afternoon and leaving Sunday morning for Ann Arbor.

Electric fog bell put at lighthouse
Lou H Cimfort and John Thomas of the Chicago Lighthouse Inspection Department install a 1600 pound fog bell at the lighthouse to warn fogbound mariners. Wires from shore to Stevens bell ringer will run via conduits to the power house and to the lighthouse tender’s home for remote control. The device will ring the bell three times a minute in fog or as needed.

Youngster Hurt by Speeding Cyclist on Pipestone Street
A three year old boy, son of W Worth Bean Jr of Benton Harbor, was knocked down by a speeding motorcyclist on Pipestone Street while running to his grandfather, Capt John Robinson. He sustained non life threatening injuries. Mrs Robinson and Mrs Worth Bean Jr are friends of Mrs Jennie Dwyer.

Conrad loses barn by fire in Ganges township
Sid L. Conrad of Ganges township reports a large barn fire Sunday afternoon at about 3 o'clock. Three mules perished inside. one mule escaped after its halter burned off. The origin remains a mystery as Mr. Allen, who worked for Conrad, saw nothing suspicious shortly before the blaze. The barn was not the principal one but was a large building.

Sunday Morning's Boat Held By Storm
The steamer Petoskey did not arrive from Chicago Sunday morning until 11 30 o clock after laying over at 4 a m due to high seas. Other lines ships could not leave Chicago harbor and returned. About 150 passengers completed the trip looking worn on arrival, while those who planned to go ashore faced rough water.
