Death of H. E. Dewey Ends Long Public Service in South Haven
Henry E. Dewey died about 6 am after an apoplectic stroke Tuesday afternoon at his North Shore drive home. A longtime resident of South Haven, he helped lead the water works lighting plant and river bridge projects and served in public office for forty three years. Survived by wife and two sons F. G. Dewey and J. G. Dewey, funeral at Congregational church next Sunday conducted by the Masonic order.

Evangelist Colegrove Opens Mission at Opera House
A men only audience attended Evangelist Colegrove at the Opera House amid bad weather. Pastor Laster opened, Pastor Wheeler read scripture, and a male quartet sang as Colegrove urged strong manhood rooted in Christ. Several accepted Christ and Mrs Meek spoke for the ladies at the Baptist church.

Bride's Father Officiated at South Haven Nuptials
Miss Mae Strickland, youngest daughter of Rev and Mrs Strickland, married Carl Edwards formerly of Hinsdale Illinois now residing in South Haven. The ceremony at 10 pm at the bride's home 266 North Shore Drive featured a miniature altar and smilax decor.
