E A Loehr presented a curious prize egg from an undersized Wyandotte pullet. The egg showed a soft shell with a normal yolk and a second full-size hard shelled yolk, weighing five ounces and measuring six and a half inches. Loehr claims the pullet lays two eggs a day and offers this as proof.

Beans Shipped In Carload From Local Growers to Roanoke
Kelder and Tuckour reported from Tuesday’s Daily that a carload of beans was shipped to Roanoke Virginia with Saturday deliveries of four cars to Chicago and another to New Orleans. Beans arrive from local growers, are cleaned here, then sent to consumers with a car loaded every few days. Three thousand bushels were received recently from Dowagiac. The industry provides fall and winter employment for many without requiring any bonus to locate.
