On Christmas Day at the home of Mr and Mrs R Thomas Lacota a pretty wedding joined Rose Thomas and Walter Variell of Morris Illinois at high noon under an arch of green and white. Prisoners receive Christmas gifts from South Haven officials

Merchants Help Santa by Filling Local Child Letters
Letters addressed to Santa were turned over to Mayor C. K. Abell and Geo. N. Gale who arranged for Santa to receive and fulfill them. Most requests asked for shoes rubbers sleds and candy with a few asking for a knife a doll or groceries for the needy. Several merchants volunteered to take Santa’s place beyond the letters.

George A Curtiss Dies in Kalamazoo
George E Curtiss of Kalamazoo died at four this morning leaving Mrs L and Monroe and Geo A Curtiss as bereaved children. He will be laid to rest after a funeral planned for Saturday. He was a well known and esteemed figure among South Haven residents who send sympathies to the family.
