City to rent office at four dollars monthly until May 1 1904. Library joint maintenance until May 1 1904 approved. Funds to pay bills ordered. Mayor and finance committee to contact deputy city treasurer on outstanding debts. Street committee to obtain gutter covers for cross walks in paving district. Meeting adjourned.

They bought the hotel within a week of leaving and report steady profits from 40 to 75 guests daily. Whitney is a mining town west of Baker City with stage lines and a railroad extension boosting business. The partners plan to move families once arrangements are finalized, with Mrs Cook likely leaving soon and Mrs Sheffer some months later.

East River Bridge Is Completed in New York
The East River bridge, linking New York and Brooklyn, is hailed as the world's greatest traffic structure. Death of an Old Resident Wigglesworth Dies at Home
Charles H. Wigglesworth died suddenly at his home north of the city after returning from the barn. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 PM from the residence with Rev. W. H. Walker officiating. Born May 24, 1828 in New Hampshire, he was 75. He married Abbie Eaton Jan 1, 1855. A lifelong resident, he helped build the First Baptist Church, served as church clerk for over twenty years, and was active in the Odd Fellows and Pomological societies. His wife remains in fragile health. many friends extend sympathy.

BAD ACCIDENT TO C. C. FRANTZ
Chas O Frantz son of R Frantz of this place was seriously injured in Chicago while unloading hay for Consumers Ice Co on December 15. A bale fell, he was knocked under the wagon and crushed by two tons of hay and two wheels passing over his chest breaking ribs. Doctor says he will recover. He had been previously injured in a locomotive accident this summer but recovered.

At about oclock this morning H J Dodge of Bailey avenue was awakened by a profuse nose bleed. Dr Trieck treated him but bleeding continued until after 2 oclock. He weakened from loss of blood and remains resting as doctors seek a cause amid his otherwise good health this fall.
