Christmas Pro gram by Adélphic and Forum Societies
The Adélphic and Forum Literary Societies of the High School held a joint meeting on Tuesday with a Christmas program led by a Victrola concert. Alma Gluck and Trinity Choir were heard, plus readings by Lloyd Spencer Ruth Corey and Harold Dressel. An old St Nick appearance, tree dismantling, and gift distribution followed, featuring Santa Claus and other seasonally themed performances.

Hartford Day Spring Shotgun Accident Injures Youth
The 14 year old son of J S Kroboth on the Olney farm southwest of the village was hurt when a loaded shotgun shell exploded while he was removing it last Friday. The face was filled with fine shot and some lodged beneath the skin. Dr J D Stewart attended the case and removed multiple shot fragments.
