Lacota Church Burned Sunday in Fire Disaster
The Methodist Episcopal church at Lacota was destroyed by a furnace fire Sunday afternoon. Insurance on the building was 1700 dollars. The church, dedicated April 17, 1877, was saved of most contents except fixed seats and the bell. Rev W C Webb noticed smoke in the morning service and later found the blaze. despite help, water could not reach in time. Meetings were moved to Frank Clark's chapel and the old Christian church.
