Cemetery sexton of Bangor founder dies at 86
Frederick S. Taylor, longtime cemetery sexton for fifty one years and founder of the Bangor cemetery, died at his Bangor home on December 8 at age 86. Known as Uncle Fred, he was among Van Buren county's earliest settlers and one of Bangor's first pioneers to settle in the ship trade from Connecticut.
