Mervin Dunmeyer age 21 of Somerset R. D. 2 and Paul Dunmeyer age 28 of Kregar were committed to the county jail on charges of surety of the peace and disorderly conduct. Charles Dunmeyer of Lincoln township prosecuted. The brothers allegedly drank and tried to drive Charles from his home. Constable Ed Peck made the arrest.

1000 Ton Coal Stripping Job Opens This Week
A new coal stripping project will produce 1,000 tons daily and employ 50 men. Located two miles from the Garrett road Plank road intersection west of Somerset, the operation uses a large walking duck shovel being converted from electric to diesel power. International Collieries of Pittsburgh will strip for Charles Nearhouse and Albert Larson, who lease the coal under several farms encompassing about 1,009 acres with more tracts leased nearby. Actual stripping starts in a few days after the power conversion is completed.
