Woman Seriously Injured After Roby Highway Crash
Mrs. Eugene Williams of Sylvester was critically hurt when her 1955 Ford left U S Highway 180 near a bridge three miles east of Roby. Sheriff Earl Abercrombie said she had a leg nearly severed and required transfusions before hospital transfer to Cogdell Memorial Hospital. The wreck occurred as another truck driver reported being forced off the road.

Local Man Slightly Injured in Lake J B Thomas Accident
LeRoy Kincheloe, 27, of 3104 Avenue G, was injured while diving from the lake bank into shallow water at Lake J B Thomas. He struck his head on the bottom, suffering back and neck injuries and was unconscious until a Bell Ambulance arrived. He was taken to Cogdell Memorial Hospital for treatment after the 7 p.m. incident near the dam.
