Funeral services set for A A McMillan in Hermleigh
Funeral services will be held at 2 30 p m today at Central Baptist Church in Helmleigh for Alech Andrew McMillan 82 who died Saturday night at Young Medical Center in Sweetwater after a heart attack. He lived near Hermleigh was a 32 year Scurry County resident and a retired farmer. He was born October 4 1872 in Arkansas and married Mary Alice Powers in 1897. He was active in the Masonic Lodge since 1901 and Hermleigh lodge since 1923. Burial is at Helmleigh Cemetery with Bell Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers include James Davidson Ralph Parrott Alton Barfoot Jim Farr Bill Lea and Dave Hess. Survivors include seven daughters and seven sons, plus four brothers and 22 grandchildren.

Three-Vehicle Crash Injures Man at City Intersection
Thomas C. Scarborough, 58, of 2107 Avenue S, sustained non fatal injuries in a three vehicle collision at Twenty fifth Street and Avenue V. Landrum 74 of Fluvanna and Sutton 25 of 2707 Twenty six Street were also involved as traffic headed west and east at the stop sign ed intersection.
