Delegates split across counties with contest over eight national convention seats to be decided in Huron on April 7. The dispute includes precinct gerrymandering, elected officials, and tax controversy fueling voter discontent.
The stalwarts seek to steer the upcoming state convention to select delegates. Sixteen of fifty three counties have already chosen delegates for the first Republican state convention.
