Post office regulations set operative hours from 9.60 a m to 5 p m with a nod toTraln prior notice requirements. The notice indicates standard operating times and a brief guidance on mail handling procedures within the day.
The ad promotes Chamberlain's Eye and Skin Ointment for eczema tetter salt rheum and related skin diseases claiming instant relief and permanent cures. It also touts it as a remedy for itchy hands sore nipples chilblains frost bite and parched chapped areas. Includes other products and prices and mentions Dr Cady's Condition Powders for horses as tonic blood purifier and vermifuge.
The Silver party vows allegiance to justice and liberty, pledging support for William J. Bryan for president and Arthur Sewall for vice president. It endorses remonetizing silver at 16 to 1, legal tender silver, government monetary control, abolition of national banks, and government ownership of key transport lines, while pushing reforms in pensions, education funding, and election integrity. It denounces Republican hypocrisy, backs interstate commerce actions, river and railroad improvements, and calls for direct government money issuance and silver remonetization before any reorganization of the party.
A humorous pamphlet recounts Grover Cleveland being spirited from the White House by the Angel of Liberty and left to tramp home to Oklahoma City.
