The books of registration for the general election to be held November 3, 1861, are now open. They will remain open on all legal days from 1 PM to 6 PM until October 10, 1896, and from October 10, 1996, to October 18, 18, from 7 AM to 6 PM, with hours added as before. Hours vary by date, with daily sessions from 10 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 6 pm, closing at 8 pm on certain days. Naturalized citizens must present papers when registering. L. D.
