Pioneer Engineer Dies in Mexico Aboard Return to England
William Albrighton, 63, born in England and longtime Comstock resident, died September 12, 1899 in Zacatecas Mexico from fever while employed as an engineer at the lode hoisting works. He arrived today with the news for his mother that his father had passed away. He left a widow and one son and had settled in the Comstock in 1869, living there until about a year ago.
