A Chicago dispatch reports a large postoffice burglary netting 76710 in stamps. Thieves crawled under flooring bore a steel vault and escaped by wagon. They targeted cash and stamps valued in the hundreds of thousands, with 97 bore holes and a dry goods box concealing the entrance. The theft is described as the largest postal robbery in U.S. history.
