Judgment by default possible if defendants fail to answer within the specified period after service. Proceedings filed September 28 1900 with attorney John T Wheeler representing the plaintiff.
United States Land Office Carson City announces F A Hyde of San Francisco has filed to select unsurveyed land under the 1897 act. Description covers parts of sections 22 and 34 in township 28 north range 41 east. Protests on mineral value versus agricultural use invited within thirty days.
Official canvass lists total votes for Presidential Electors Bryan McKinley with a 336 majority, G. Newlands leads in Congress by 68, and Van Doger Townsend Nelson win Assembly seats with large majorities. Other offices show McDeid, Fitzgerald, Evans, Booher, Pitt, Dunh, Hill, Gilbert, Hood, Cochran, Morey, and Ruddell with various majorities and pluralities.
State of Nevada filed List No. 284 for lands selected under the 1880 act at Carson City. A portion of the list is open for inspection. protests within sixty days may be filed if a tract is claimed more valuable for minerals than agriculture. Subdivision listed: W% of NW% Sec 8, T27N R32E MDM comprising 80 acres.
