A young man deserts his bride in a crowded Market Street ticket office scene at the Southern Pacific. The distressed bride sobs as bystanders, reporters, and police surround the couple while the groom demands a ticket to Ocean View and announces he will return by noon.
The U S land office in Carson City Nevada announces a state list of lands selected in part payment of 2 000 000 acres under a June act. Protests to the state claim for mineral value over agricultural use must be filed within sixty days.
Land Office at Carson City Nevada gives notice that Randall Sage has filed for final proof on his homestead entry 470 in township 47 north range 38 east M D. He will prove continuous residence and cultivation at the county clerk’s office in Winnemucca on June 9, 1807. Witnesses: Ird Parker Robert Wilkinson Clarence McDermitt Gus McAninch all of McDermitt Nevada. O H Gallup Register.
The district court of the state in Humboldt County Nevada orders all heirs and interested persons of Samuel Strieff deceased to appear May 17 1897 at 10 a m in Winneemucca court to show cause why residue should not be distributed among legal heirs. Dated April 20 1897. GEO E MILLER County Clerk.
