Dispatches from Gibraltar report a British steamer passing a Spanish torpedo boat destroyer guarding Algeciras Bay. The destroyer’s lights vanished and the boat disappeared. it is supposed boilers exploded and all aboard perished.
MarE ISLAND May 11 The cruiser Charleston has been ordered to leave at once for Manila with ammunition. She will sail before Sunday.
