An advertisement extols Syrup of Figs as a pleasant laxative from the California Fig Syrup Co. It claims genuine product quality, broad use by families, and benefits of internal cleanliness without weakening the system. It urges healthful living and consulting physicians for actual diseases.
Fragmentary notice notes hockets sold and baggage cheered through to eastern points. Travelers insurance tickets cobel.
The notice warns subscribers of continuing subscriptions by default and outlines penalties for nonpayment and failure to inform the publisher. It states that moving without notice, not taking papers, or fraudulently avoiding payment can lead to arrest, fines, and continued liability until arrearages are settled.
An old promotion claims Mrs Winslow's Soothing Syrup eases teething pain and diarrhea for children. It cites widespread use, pleasant taste, and a price of twenty five cents per bottle. Also advertised for bruises sprains cuts and sores with various remedies sold by A D Wilcox.
County auditor J J Hill submits the quarterly Humboldt County finances with balances apportioned to funds including Bond Redemption General Road Indigent Sick Contingent and several school funds. Receipts list balances and district indebtedness totals for Winnemucca Lake and other districts. county treasurer P Laverga confirms the cash in hand agrees with the books.
The estate of G. R. Walker advertises a full line of caskets coffins burial robes and undertaker's supplies with prompt fulfillment of orders. J A Cochran Winnemucca July 28 1894.
PD J Hedley assignee of C H McIntosh insolvent debtor filed in Huamboldr County Clerk Nev a statement listing creditors with amounts due and pro rate share. Creditors may show cause within fifteen days after first publication why the statement should not be accepted or the distribution made per its terms. LF Dunn County Clerk dated Feb 21, 1896.
The Humboldt County Board of Commissioners invites bids for finishing a coal carload contract. Bids must be received by 12 o clock noon on Monday March 2, 1596. The board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. By order of the Board. L. F. Dunn, Clerk.
