It has cured very bad cases and helps itching piles sore nipples chapped hands frost bites and chronic sore eyes. Sold by druggists at 25 cents per box. Also try Dr Caggots Condition Powders a tonic blood purifier and vermifuge for horses in bad condition.
In Hayti and near Santiago yesterday fighting continued from dawn to near noon. The American fleet fired about 1600 projectiles at fortifications which were demolished. A landing east of Santiago sparked a sharp clash with Spanish troops. five Spanish officers including a colonel were killed and many others wounded. The Reina Mercedes and possibly the Maria Teresa were sunk. No US troops yet landed in Santiago, and reports rely on Spanish sources. The US is said to be wholly victorious if engagements occurred.

Camp Merritt and the Presidio in California disburse 840,000 to regulars and volunteers. Captain W. Gridley of Dewey’s Manila battles dies in Kobe from battle injuries. The Monterey and Brutus head toward Manila after fueling in Honolulu, with plans to proceed to the Philippines. Reports deny the sinking of the Terrier near Jamaica. Ambassador Hay in London protests Spain using Canada as a spy base, insisting on neutrality. Straw hats offered by E Reinhart & Co. An Ohio man, Isaac Horner, reports recovery from rheumatism after using Chamberlain’s Pain Balm in 1804, as told by a Wheeling Drug Co. salesman.
