Ringling Brothers World’s Greatest Shows will perform in Winnemucca on Friday August 16. The company travels about sixty five double length railroad cars and employs around four thousand people including 300 performers with 600 horses and thirty elephants. The three ring, two stage production features mid air acts and a huge hippodrome, with the entire Humboldt county population fed by the mammoth tented arena.

Miner Robert Ireland Dies After Illness at County Hospital
Robert Ireland of New York, 54, died in the county hospital yesterday from heart failure after two months ill. A longtime resident and miner in Wil sow Creek district, he was taken ill at Jackson Creek, brought for treatment, and buried in the funeral this afternoon. He was widely known among county miners and prospectors.
