The advertisement urges use of Cod Liver Oil with Hypophosphites of Lime and Soda to keep well through winter. It claims children need a two to three month supply in fall and adults benefit from several months of Emulsion. The copy emphasizes doctor guidance and purchasing from druggists.
The ointment soothes intense itching from eczema tetter and other skin diseases. It claims permanent cures for bad cases and is useful for itching piles sore nipples frost bites and chronic sore eyes. Sold by druggists at 25 cents per box. Also recommends Dr Cady's Condition Powders as a tonic purifier and vermifuge for horses in bad condition.
The author reflects on the new fifty-sixth congress with Mark Hanna as a corrupt force and a harsher tariff, warning of a Republican sway and a rise of the new Democracy led by Bryan. He laments Democratic dissension, praises Jefferson and Lincoln, and foresees a clash between gold and silver factions within the party ahead of the 1900 race.
