An advertisement touts Scott's Emulsion of cod liver oil with hypophosphites of lime and soda as a superior tonic for thin and delicate children. The copy claims it promotes growth, strength, plumpness, and comfort, urging readers to buy the product for $1.00 from druggists.
The advertisement promotes Chamberlain's Eye and Skin Ointment for itching rashes eczema tetter salt rheum and other skin maladies. It claims instant relief for itchiness and smarting and notes its use for itching piles sore nipples chapped hands frost bites and chronic sore eyes. Sold by druggists at 25 cents per box. Also mentions Mr Cady's Condition Powders as a tonic blood purifier and vermifuge for horses.
An early 20th century notice promotes Chante rlain s Cough Remedy as the best guard against pneumonia during cold season. It claims wide satisfaction and urges keeping the remedy for those with weak legs or risk of pneumonia, mentioning 25 and 50 cent sizes available at W. A. Brown. Also advertises cheap ladies waists at M Hofman and a large dress goods line at E Reinhart Co. No-To-Bac tobacco habit cure advertised at 50 cents.
Notice issued under the 1880 land act states a patent is sought for lands described in sections 4 and 4, T5N R5E, SE, NW, and SW quarters. Citizens may protest within sixty days at Carson City Nevada, with challenges noting mineral versus agricultural value, and responses filed with the General Land Office in Washington.
