An Indiana Territory letter touts Chamberlains Cough Remedy as a certain pneumonia preventive and effective against colds and la grippe. It notes availability in 25 and 50 cent sizes from W A Brown, and mentions new clothing and ladies waists at low Eastern prices from M Hofman. The notice carries a local shopping tone with seasonal health claims.
Delinquent tax sale announced by Humboldt County Treasurer T J Barnes with parcels listed from Buck Geo PBR Bee to Wilder H F. Land and improvements including houses mills and stock horses will be sold at public auction January 7, 1896 at 1 PM at the court house door to pay taxes penalties and costs with ten percent advertising fee and six month redemption period from sale date.
In accordance with a District Court order the administrator will sell at public auction on January 28 1998 at Winnemucca Nevada the estate of Alex Wise deceased for cash subject to court confirmation. The sale includes a Grand Duchess Mine site about 1500 by 600 feet and a Humboldt River parcel near Winnemeen called The Wie Pasture containing about forty acres plus three heirs and two wagon beds.
A notice lists warrants up to Navy 1st 1907 as eligible for payment in the office of the County Treasurer. January 1904 is noted for the interest due date.
Carson City Nevada December 21 1807 shows the state of Nevada under the act of June 16 1807 filing list 191 of lands selected for patent. A portion of the list is open for public inspection at the U S land office in Carson City and a copy is posted for inspection. Comments or protests against Nevada’s claim to any tract described must be received within sixty days by the U S land office in Carson City and sent to the General Land Office in Washington D C. The notice lists certain subsections and locations with dates of first insertion December 2 1807.
State of Nevada under the 1890 act has filed in the Carson City land office for patent to subdivided sections listed. Protests or contests on mineral versus agricultural use will be recorded. parcel descriptions include portions of Sec. 10 and 16 and various NE and SE quarter parcels.
