A promotional paragraph extols Syrup of Figs as a pure liquid laxative cleansing the system and curing constipation without weakening organs. It claims rapid relief from colds headaches and fevers and notes the product is manufactured solely by the California Fig Syrup Co and sold in 50c and 81 bottles by druggists.
Tickets sold and baggage cheered through to all eastern points with Travelers insurance tickets. Pena J. A. Ferraro, agent.
The piece argues thorough painting on both sides of roof shingles and a ten year roof coat to achieve leak tightness for over a century. It advises painting only when shingles are dry and season, choosing color to match weathered shingles, noting black paints heat up and shorten life. A separate note from Winnemucca reports Hood's Sarsaparilla improving health.
Humboldt County Nevada County Treasurer P. Laverga submits the quarterly report for the quarter ending June 30 1894. The document lists cash in the county treasury amounts and balances apportioned to funds including school, road, interest sinking, indigent sick and several county school funds with numerous line items and totals.
