An old promotional notice extols Syrup of Figs as a pleasant laxative that cleanses the system and relieves colds headaches and fevers. It claims no weakening effect on the kidneys liver or bowels and praises the California Fig Syrup Co as the sole manufacturer with the product name printed on every package.
Tickets sold and baggage cheered through to all eastern points. Travelers insurance tickets sold.
Joseph Wilson, accused as a leader of the party that tarred and feathered Adjutant General Tarsney of Colorado, has been arrested in Kansas City Missouri and will be returned to Colorado for trial. Nearby, Chicago property owners seek 50 000 dollars from the government for losses from the Grand boulevard artillery caisson explosion on July 16. Meanwhile several Mormon elders have traveled to Indiana to recruit converts.
Mrs Phebe L Halt Galva Kansas writes that twenty five years ago she suffered bilious fever and typhoid, lay near death, then recovered. A brown spot above the knee appeared and grew into a ring like sore despite treatment. She reports no relief from doctors.
County Auditor J J Hill submits the quarterly report for Humboldt County Nevada ending June 20 1894 detailing cash in the county treasury 505,687 25 and funds apportioned to multiple school, road, indigent sick, contingent, redemption, salary, fire and various county school funds with totals and bond records. Treasurer P Laverga certifies the cash and fund apportionments as correct.
