In Middletown New York a hog of 981 pounds was killed. Sparks-Harrel Company plans to ship 11 000 head of cattle to Tecoma Elko county. Coggin brothers Brownwood Texas sold 2 500 three year old steers at 23 dollars to H B Spaulding’s ranch in Indian Territory. Jake Minola bought a ranch in Huntington Valley from John Trainer for 4 000 dollars. Minola has sold properties in Ruby Valley. The Denver horse market seeks good drivers and work horses. Goulding & Co Reno Nevada sent two carloads of Percherons and Shires averaging 1700 pounds ready for disposal. A Parisian authority on statistics says the French wheat crop 1900 will reach 8 000 000 bushels with a possible excess of 45 000 000 over 899. Demand for the farming season is 352 000 000 bushels so France must import 9 000 000 bushels, mostly from the United States. The Eastern wool market remains unsettled with price declines of a half to one cent noted by Dun’s Review. Week’s sales at three main markets total 3 9330 600 pounds amid weak factory activity. A legal note says the Commissioner now declares taxes paid under previous opinion will be refunded.
