The Hope Idaho Examiner notes local youths briefly entrapped by a mail offer for a modest Bible, while promoting Hood's Sarsaparilla as a blood purifier and strength builder. The ad also lists land filings, legal blanks for sale, and local commodities including cheap shoes and hay for sale by G. Nixon.

Company D first brigade New Jersey National Guard drills every Tuesday at 7 30 PM. Monthly targets include the Tuesday of each month at 7 31. Target practice on hensna and third Saturday of each month at 8. Commanders J Anderson captain NJ Gunter O.B.
The St. James Lodge No 9 of the Ancient Order of United Workmen meets on the first and third Tuesdays at 7:30 PM in the Silver State building. Sojourning members are invited to attend. Financier Muller and Recorder Warren are named officers.
Winnemucca Lodge No 19 F and A M will hold stated communications at their hall in the Silver State block at 7 30 p m on the first Saturday evening of each month Master Masons in good standing are invited to attend J Anderson W M R W Lewis Secretary
