The eighth annual Rickel Moyer family reunion was held Thursday August 27 1914 on the Reason Rickel farm by Beaver Dam Lake. About 150 friends and relatives attended with forenoon mingling and a bountiful dinner. After dinner the crowd was called to order by the president.

Mysterious Fire Destroys Upper Story at Leffel Home
Fire originating unknown swept the Jacob Leffel farm home four miles southeast of town Friday morning destroying the upper story. Mrs. Leffel and daughter were canning peaches nearby as neighbors fought the flames, saving the household goods. A prior wood shed fire on the same farm had occurred weeks earlier with no cause found.

Reunion Reports Births And Deaths Before Officers Re election

Noah Shireman returned home from Lakeville after attending the Shireman family reunion at the David Shireman residence. Local Woman Adjudged Insane After Inquest
Mrs Charles Ring of Logansport was admitted to a hospital about a year ago after typhoid fever left her mind deteriorating. An inquest found she suffered delusions and hysterical outbursts followed by fits of laughter. Local residents extend sympathy to Mrs Rings parents Mr and Mrs Gilford Mr Ring and the children.

Death of Esther Shakes Huntington Family
