In small Northern Indiana towns bankers are arming with Winchesters to deter bank robbers. Proposed vigilante measures suggest tougher local resistance to criminal acts as communities brace for possible armed encounters.
The Miller family reunion is held today at the home of Mr and Mrs George W Sherbondy in this place. With Mrs Sherbondy the only living sister the reunion is staged at her residence.
The Rose Hill post office is closed and no mail will be received or sent from that office. Postmaster Ferree took charge of remaining supplies and redirected them to the local office. The rural carrier on route 2 will serve most former patrons.
Last week the gas mains supplying Ft Wayne were closed and the final flame expired. The city will rely on electricity and home made lights or tallow dips, as the gas supply is removed.
Indiana emerges as a winter hub for circuses with the Wallace show at Peru and Gentry in Bloomington. Selis and Dewdy’s contract brings winter quarters to the New Albany fair grounds starting November 24, housing many men and animals. Rumors of Ringling Brothers wintering in Indiana are likely false as prices deterred past talks.

FE. E. Earle, chief deputy of Indiana fish and game and new chief warden, reports on plans by the Indiana Division of the League of American Sportsmen to bring thousands of quail to Indiana. Local hunters say quail are very scarce.
Sheriff Mabie of Warsaw traveled to Indianapolis to testify in a U S court as a witness in the case against William Jones, accused of passing a counterfeit 310 gold piece in Milford. The stranger, unnamed, is identified by Capt Halls of the U N secret service as a former convict who once lived near Nappanee. In Warsaw jail the man stayed silent on his case and defense.
Farmers Mutual Relief Association of Kosciusko County Indiana holds its twenty sixth annual meeting in the Court Room Warsaw on Saturday December 2 1905 at 10 oclock a m for election of officers and other business Secretary S D Anglin announces President Joan C Wolf Warsaw November 20 1905.
The Twentieth Century Club entertained the One Dozen Club at Wiltrout hall last evening. The social gathering featured refreshments at the proper hour and a jovial, well spent evening as members departed for home.

I D Henderson returned last Saturday from a four weeks business trip to Beloit Wisconsin. He made arrangements with the renter to vacate the farm at once and decided to move his family to Wisconsin taking possession himself. The car with household goods will be shipped this week and the family will follow early next week. We regret losing them as residents but wish them success in their new home.

Secret Service agents search a northern Indiana woods cabin for a counterfeiting plant. They expect to uncover moulds and tools for half dollar production. Owner Henry Racke is arrested. Capt. Thomas J. Porter reports Racke and his father have jail records.
