The data list votes for Taft Roosevelt Debs and others, with Barnhart and Kintzel among local winners in multiple county offices. George Newhouse arrived last Saturday from North Dakota where he spent the wheat harvest. He had traveled from Canada to North Dakota in spring and then back to the states, stopping in Dakota for weeks during a long trip to Indiana. Snowbound on the return trip, the train was held two nights and days, leaving over five hundred passengers to subsist on a small grocery and restaurant. He has not decided where to settle, but may head to Ohio soon.
Members of the Embroidery Club enjoyed a royal entertainments evening hosted by their husbands last Thursday. The event included a five course supper at the Crown Hotel after a city tour by the men and culminated with after supper games at the Calvin Grosso home.
