Two people died in a late Saturday night auto wreck northeast of Warsaw. Roy Hill from South Bend and Warsaw resident Mrs Olga Jackson were in a large car borrowed from William Bodkin. The couple disappeared on a joy ride and were found later burned beyond recognition in the wreckage.

A mule fell into a twenty foot well at the Walter Rager home on the C. L. Leonard farm west of town after the platform broke while the animal drank.
