A beautiful Decoration Day with clear skies and mild weather. The day saw business suspended 9 to 4 and flags adorning homes and stores. A parade led by the band moved from the church to Lakeview cemetery where flower offerings were laid on soldier graves. Reverends Wright Rittenhouse and Hill led services and solos were performed by Mrs Wright and Mrs Walter.

Abraham Armey of Montgomery county Ohio born August 10 1836 died May 26 1907 at his son Levi Armey residence in Milford after a period of ill health and mental instability. He leaves one son and two daughters. The body was brought to Gospel Hill church for funeral services conducted by Rev Kain and interred at Gospel Hill cemetery.
