Information from Kansas City indicates that Grandpa Pen rod is currently in very feeble health. The report notes his frail condition and requests prayers and support from family.
The Warsaw Daily Union will issue two editions daily except Sunday, a morning and an evening edition. Both editions will carry dispatches from the United Press News Association.
Miss Anna Huffman offers dress making services and occupies rooms with Mrs Jane Warren in the former Dulany property inviting those needing work in this line to call on her.
Elections Tuesday approved a subsidy to aid building an electric line from Peru to Akron. The measure carried by 162 votes in Hevery township Fulton county and by 95 votes in Perry township Miami county.
North Manchester College Nine opened the season with a rain interrupted game against our boys. Despite no practice the visitors managed two scores in the first inning, but finished with a 2 to 0 defeat as many spectators watched the wet clash.
State Auditor Sherrick releases the list of levies for this year. General state fund levy is twelve cents per 100 valuation and fifty cents per poll. Educational institutional fund levy is two and three fourths cents per dollar valuation. School fund levy is eleven and six tenths cents per 100 with fifty cents per poll. The document outlines benevolent institutional allocations.
Residents weigh the town favorably as the Indiana Northern electric line advances through the east end and crosses Main Street near vacant lots, promising a fast schedule and no local subsidy. The line links Marion to Wabash with 20 miles of track and plans for a Wabash to Warsaw extension.

Viers and Wicks proprietors of the touring mill at Akron have purchased the Manitou touring mills at Rochester and moved their families there. An effort is underway to attract James Dick of Roann to construct a new mill in Akron.
Frank Helser installed a gasoline cogine on Wednesday at B- Flora to power a water pump.
The Winona Assembly founded institute trains boys in hands on farming at Mount Memorial Hall. It operates a model dairy and cultivates crops to teach soil science through actual work. Visitors see cucumber fields of hundred acres under contract as the Assembly controls nearly two thousand acres nearby.
Last Sunday evening unknown parties fired a bullet through the window of Simeon Trump’s residence four miles east of town. The Trump family were in the front room when the shot was fired and the bullet buried itself in the wall. No injuries are reported.
John Warner, who lives east of town, while working for Thacker last Friday, began bleeding from the nose in an alarming manner. He was brought to Dr. Leckrone's office where the doctor stopped the bleeding. Warner remained conscious for a time after the episode.
Roann traveled to Silver Lake to play a game postponed by a tail storm. The Roann team notified Silver Lake they would arrive later to face our boys, with a large crowd expected and the match considered to be of interest. Our paper goes to press early, so no game report is available.
There is much improvement going on in Silver Lake this spring in the way of building and remodeling dwelling houses. This helps the appearance of our town.
Nearly completed Elias Hively cottage on North Jefferson is ready for occupancy. Interior work wraps up and the well arranged house marks a major improvement to North Silver Lake.
G. W. Hawley lost the left thumb at the first joint while taking a format stave cutting at the stave mill Monday morning. Dr. Amiss treated the injury. Hawley had previously maimed the same hand twice by a cut off saw but vows to continue learning stave cutting.
The Winona Flyer will enter service with a new time card mid June, linking Indianapolis with Elkhart and communicating directly with the White City Special to Cincinnati. No. 34 departs Indianapolis 3 15 p m daily except Sunday, Warsaw 6 30 p m, arrives Elkhart 8 40 p m. No. 15 leaves Elkhart 1 30 p m, Warsaw 2 40 p m, arrives Indianapolis 6 10 p m.
The record notes W. L. Rantz added to the class roll of the American College of Medicine and Surgery Chicago for May 15, 1905. The town congratulates him on earning the honorary designation M. D. to his name.
A meeting was held Tuesday evening at Wiltrout's ball to arrange the program for Decoration Day Memorial Services. The Lutheran church will conduct services on Sunday May 28 at the regular hour led by Rev. Kain.
