North Manchester Man Found Dead in St Joseph River

The body of William Forney formerly of North Manchester was recovered from the St Joseph River near South Bend. Authorities report a crushed skull and empty pockets suggesting robbery and murder. Forney, about 26, recently married to Miss Burton of North Manchester, had a prior theft conviction and lived in South Bend with his wife. He was a son of Mr and Mrs Levi Forney.
