History of Lake Township Told in School Program

Last Saturday at the high school a large audience attended the town sip institute. Pupils read township histories from 1832 to today and sang songs. Teachers plan to compile a single township history with key events, fires, church and school buildings, and town hall.

Will Move to Northwest

Joe Shilling and family visited several days last week at the Andrew Hamman home in the north part of town. Shilling had lived on a farm near Akron, sold his chattels at public sale, and they plan to move to the great northwest to establish their future home. Mrs. Shilling is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Gill and they will visit relatives until departure.

Junior Christian Endeavor at U B Church Seeks Attendance

The junior Christian Endeavor meets each Sunday afternoon at the U B church. Juniors show interest by taking active parts in the service. A larger attendance is desired and members who dropped out for unknown reasons are invited to return. Members are heartily welcome.
