Theodore Parker of Fairview was in the area on Tuesday. Rev Hutchings and family visited the Clinic home last Friday. Frank and Ellis Hill picked raspberries north of Atwood. About fifty Marion boy scouts camped at Hills lake this week. Farmers finish daily rye cutting and corn plowing amid other chores. Joan Homan and wife visited Amus Homan near Akron with three granddaughters from Elkhart returning home in the evening.
Frank Sellers and family spent Sunday at the William Sellers home. The Artie Carr family visited with Roy Carr and family near Claypool. Ammon Bucher and family visited Merl Bucher’s home southwest of Silver Lake. Mr and Mrs Frank Rarick were from Atwood visiting Manuel and Claire Shilling. Rev Hutchings family spent Sunday with John Clink. Chester Bashore and relatives in town visited Claire Paulus home and helped with hay saying he is skilled at forking and wrestling hay while on vacation from Chicago.
Miss Trilby Summe of Mishawaka visited relatives here last Sunday. Eloise Love returned home to Indianapolis after a week in Wabash with family. Mrs. W H Davis went back to Indianapolis after a short visit with her mother Mrs. Margaret Paulus. Clarksville area residents Mary Leonard and C L Leonard hosted Dc M. Smith and wife from Winona. Several other locals and visitors are noted with many crossings between Warsaw, Peru, Garrett, Wabash and Star City as kin and friends meet. The Wabash Service band plans a Sunday concert at the lake with Smiths orchestra on stage and small gate fees.
