Mrs. Ralph Sellers died Sunday evening at her Warsaw home after several months of heart trouble and complications. She leaves father Lemuel Clover of Pierceton and several siblings including Mrs. Arthur Sausaman of Logansport. Funeral was held Wednesday at Pierceton Cemetery.
Marshall county trustees advocate teaching the Bible in county schools. The plan reportedly has the approval of school patrons and aligns with community sentiment.
An employee at a War saw factory lost the tips of two fingers in a recent accident. Minutes earlier he remarked that several workers had injured fingers, then brushed sawdust off the table before the blade severed the tips.
Merritt Ballenger of North Manchester underwent a second operation at a Rochester Minnesota hospital in the latter part of last week. He is son in law to Mr and Mrs Esta Grosso and had another procedure after an earlier operation a couple of weeks ago.

Many locals attended the funeral of Mrs. Lizzie Isenbarger held last Saturday at the Church of the Brethren five miles east of town. The service drew a sizable crowd from the area.
Mrs Petgen, living three miles east of town, went to Elkhart last week and will stay at the Jessia Lake home. She left work in RECORD to keep posted on happenings in and around Silver Lake.
The ladies of the Kamelia organization held a banquet near Silver Lake the other evening with many members present at the spread.
E T Leitner of Roann renews a challenge to any pupil instructor or professor to spell with him in a contest. He says he is an exceptionally good speller having left school over forty years ago and worked as a farmer. He notes a similar challenge a year ago drew no takers.
Word reached Packerton last Thursday of the sudden death of Mrs. Lizzie Isenbarger aged 64. She had heart trouble and was widow of George Isenbarger. The family had lived near Packerton about 12 years and she was related to Emanuel Leckrone and Hannah Armey. Survived by three sons Lee Thurman and Frank, one sister Melissa Arthur, and four brothers. Funeral Saturday at Airey church five miles east, with interment in the church cemetery.
The Whit ley County officer was fined and costs totaling over thirty dollars after arrest for hunting without the land owner permit. He conceded to improve caution in the future.
Report from L H Zobrosky of five miles south states he is getting along nicely after an operation in a Minnesota hospital about ten days ago. He is able to sit up much of the day and his wife has stayed with him nearly constantly.
A car driven by Lola Gill ran off the pavement southwest of North Manchester on Sunday evening. Four occupants Miss Gill Miss Ollie Scott Mrs Stricker and Mrs Ulrey sustained bruises and injuries when two large telephone poles were broken by the collision.
Public schools in Silver Lake and Lake Township will close tomorrow for the holiday vacation. There will be no school all next week. They reopen on Monday December 31, with pupils and instructors spending New Year’s Day in the schoolroom.
