Indiana State Fair to Focus on Farmers and Machinery

The Indiana State Board of Agriculture plans a September fair in Indianapolis devoted to agriculture horticulture and live stock. After catering to city crowds the board will emphasize farm exhibitions with large machinery displays from buggy threshing and corn shredder makers expanding space and seeking room for more exhibitors.

South bound Big Four passenger train and north bound freight No. 62 collided in North Anderson yards last Sunday morning. Fronts of both engines smashed. Freight engineer Jackson blamed. Water Cure continues at Pearson home prank

A follow up to last week’s ducking incident occurred Tuesday night at the Pearson residence. A group of youths drenched an open window beside the couple’s bed, soaking Mrs Pearson the hardest, while Charley Pearson is blamed for sparking the prank. The Trustee of Lake Township Kos ciusko County proposes for 1903 annual expenditures and tax levies as advised by the Advisory Board. Township expenditures 9800. Local tuition 1700 for 25 cents tax and 23 cents per poll. Special school tax 2000 with 35 cents tax and 30 cents per poll. Road expenditures 1300 with 5 cents tax and additional road 2500 with 10 cents per hundred. Poor expenditures 150 with 3 cents tax. Total expenditures 26450 and total tax 108 cents per hundred.
