Eaton Reunion Near Beaver Dam Brings Seventy Two Members

Last Sunday the Eaton family reunion was held at James Eaton's home west of Beaver Dam with seventy two family members and about a dozen guests attending. A social day featured an excellent dinner and plans for the next reunion on August 13 at the Thomas Batup home near Palestine. Officers elected for the coming year include President John Eaton Secretary Sonia Colbert Assistant Secretary Anne Eaton Treasurer Thomas Eaton. Also attending were Mr and Mrs Amos Summe Mr and Mrs James McFarland Mr and Mrs Reason Rickel Mr and Mrs John Meredith and Mr and Mrs Alfred Study.

Funeral in Wabash for Cousin of Mrs. Helser

Mrs. Helser attended the funeral in Wabash for her cousin John Ulrich who died Thursday morning after falling ill on the way to work. He passed away within an hour and the funeral was held Sunday.

Big Road Meeting Forms County Group in Warsaw

About 300 enthusiastic boosters from nearly every township in the county gathered in Warsaw court room Sunday afternoon to form a county organization for the Dixie Road and Lincoln Highway project. J B Dodge of Marion said the highways would improve existing roads, not create costly boulevards, and start a broader movement for better roads after their establishment.

Road plan to run from Cincinnati to Warsaw outlined

At the Dixie Highway meeting in Anderson yesterday a large turnout from Cincinnati to Elkhart backed the road. Delegates including W H Kern H P Rager and Calvin Gresso discussed a route from Cincinnati to Hibbart via Wabash north to North Manchester west to Independence school then north through Silver Lake to Warsaw. A committee was formed to select an emblem and place it along the route. Silver Lake boosters and the local band joined the effort, following a recent Wabash meeting with about fifty attendees.

Herendeen Family Visit From Chicago With Relatives

A. L. Herendeen arrived from Chicago for a week with sisters Mrs. Mary Runtz and Mrs. Fred Hines. Mrs. Ierendeen and nephew Master Theodore Johnson traveled to Indianapolis for a weeklong visit with relatives.
