Burket Man Killed by Falling Jack During House Lift

M. R. Longbrake, about 65, died soon after a jack slipped under a house he and others were raising at Burket. The heavy iron struck his stomach and the structure crushed his leg and broke his left elbow. Survived by wife and five children, funeral plans were not listed.

Uncle Fred Attacked by Heart Trouble on Street

Was quite sick last Friday afternoon Uncle Fred Sunday was seized with an attack of heart trouble while on the street in front of the Norman drug store. He was quite bad for a time but later removed to his home and has since been gaining and it is hoped that he will soon fully recover.
