A two year old girl east of town ingested Daisy fly killer after fingering a spill from a bottle left in reach. Prompt medical care saved her life and she recovered fully without danger.
A Higgins family gathering marked Roy Pecins birthday as Lyaian Higgins from South Tend visited relatives Mrs and Mrs Sipth Higgins and brother. Higgins from Atersono arrived on the Wintia Special. a car met them at the train and returned to the Higgins home for a festive visit with Grandnis Meldinen.
Earl Paulus of Troy will preach at the Lutheran church next Sunday August 3 following Sunday School. A large attendance is desired as Paulus, a Silver Lake native now a Gospel minister, returns to lead the service.

Edward Stittsworth aged about 15 died at his parents home southwest of here after a year long struggle with tuberculosis. He leaves father, mother, several brothers and sisters and many friends. H. L. Oldfather and J. F. Oldfather plan a Thursday evening departure to North Manchester with their sisters Mrs. Knoop and Mrs. Leffel. They will travel to Farmersville Ohio for the Oldfather family reunion on Saturday and return Monday by car.

Thomas Decker, 70, died this Thursday morning at the home of Clarence and Mrs. Shoemaker in Claypool after a few weeks of illness. Funeral will be Sunday at 1 PM from the home with burial at Mt. Pleasant. He was a former berry crate maker and KIa lodge member. survived by two brothers, four sisters, three sons and three daughters. his wife died last year.
Bernedett Rager infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Rager of Min ster Ohio died Monday August 7 after two weeks of rheumatic fever Her body was brought to the family home and funeral services were held at the Jacob Rager residence Rev A A Hunter and the A B choir officiated The infant aged two months and three days was interred at Lakeview cemetery with the funeral party including the parents and siblings Everett and Dorothy.
The family extends sincere thanks to the minister the choir friends and neighbors for thoughtful kindness and sympathy in their sad hour of bereavement.
